Conception, feasibility studies and project development
It starts with the initial ideas. Innovative approaches to a new plant backed by concepts and feasibility studies. We accompany you right from this early phase of idea development with core competencies established over decades of experience with the realization of a wide range of process engineering processes. A well-managed pre-project phase ensures that market requirements are comprehensively clarified and solutions are proactively developed for technical challenges. Calculations of economic viability determine whether your plant project is also viable from a commercial point of view.
Project management and project control
Projects in plant and mechanical engineering represent complex tasks, the realization of which is associated with numerous risks. Division of labor, return and cost targets, tight deadlines and international partners require efficient management. Our experienced project managers therefore take on all tasks in organizational, legal, technical, economic and scheduling terms that are necessary for the goal-oriented execution of the project.
Design planning (basic engineering) and approval planning
Based on the results of the preliminary project planning, we develop a technical and economic concept in design planning, and determine the expected costs for the realization. The goal of basic engineering is a binding overall design of the plant. Basic flowchart, process flowchart, and piping and instrument (P&I) diagram are among the essential documents. Once all the necessary documents for the planned plant have been prepared and collected, the application for official approval can be submitted at the end of basic engineering.
Tendering and order placement
Based on the specifications of the basic engineering (often also referred to as “requirements specifications”), initial offers can now already be obtained from suppliers and executing companies. In close cooperation with our customers, we provide support in preparing tender documents, evaluating offers and awarding supply and installation services to contractors.
Implementation planning (detail engineering)
When it comes to detail engineering, the name says it all: we go into the details with you. As a rule, the implementation planning is already part of the services provided by the contractually bound main or individual contractors. The detailed design of the apparatus and machinery (often also referred to as “specifications”) is carried out in this last stage before the construction of the plant. Depending on the section involved, our employees take over, among other things, the detailed planning of the process engineering, the plant engineering (apparatus, containers, machines) incl. piping technology as well as the E/I&C and process control technology.
